Unfortunately, there are various devastating diseases and ailments that may strike someone at any time. Usually, when we think of debilitating, we think of illnesses that cause us to not be able to walk as in Multiple Sclerosis or diseases that cause us to feel physically on a regular basis something like cancer. This is quite sad because there is a host of ailments you can get that affect folks in mentally debilitating ways. Although these illnesses aren?t being completely ignored and they?ve gained more attention in the last decade, they continue to be not getting as much attention as diseases that have physical symptoms. That?s also sad because many of these mental disorders cause quite a lot of suffering for the folks who have them and they are more likely to be misdiagnosed.
One of those disorders that is quite common is panic attacks. This disorder fundamentally causes severe anxiety in its sufferers. They come on suddenly and without warning and will arise at any age in both males and females. Many people may have only one in their life but the worry and trauma brought on by that one incident would get a long-lasting affect due to the fear of getting another one. Others may experience them off and on throughout their entire life. Other problems of a panic attack include:
1) Chest Pains
2) Excessive perspiration
3) Nervousness
4) Trouble inhaling and exhaling
5) Concern of community gatherings
6) Isolation
7) Stomach upset for instance nausea and vomiting
vertigo
9) Tremors
For the people who have reoccurring panic attacks, a new set of symptoms will show over time such as:
1) Any stress related ailment including losing hair, skin problems and tiredness. Other cruel illnesses like cancer and diabetes may build up over time due to the high amounts of stress
2) Social withdrawal. A sufferer may begin to avoid social gatherings or leaving the home altogether to avoid having an attack and and avoid others discovering about their trouble which they often try to cover from others.
3) She or he may develop a dependency on alcohol or drugs in order to ?function? while in public or as a method to accommodate their suffering.
4) They may also develop suicidal feelings because of their situation and due to their isolation and the truth that the people closest to them do not know about their problem, they might act on those judgment.
A panic generally lasts about ten minutes but those ten minutes are like an eternity to those having it. During that point, they may have some minor symptoms including shaky hands and nervousness or an extremely bad one could cause them to black out, vomit and even faint. On rare occasions, a person suffering a panic attack may even should be rushed into hospital. The reason they?re going undiagnosed a lot of the time is because the symptoms mimic other illnesses or the doctor may pass it off as stress or ??nerves?? caused by a recent traumatic event. While it is true that somebody who suffered a traumatizing event is more likely have panic attacks and other mental illness, it is possible to get one without ever having had such an experience. If you think you may be having these attacks, it is important to consult someone and visit a medical expert to get a proper diagnosis so that you can get treatment to get them under control and prevent future ones.
