Miller & Haslem Talk NBA Finals

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Mike Miller spent the weekend in Sioux Falls for not only for his Night of Hope event, but also to celebrate his second NBA title in as many years.

?Every time we hit them, they hit back," Miller said.

Shortly after winning his second title Mike Miller thanked his agent for landing him the best job in sports. So how does he coast through the regular season and shoot lights out on the biggest stage?

"It takes game experience, rhythm, repetition, and things like that. Then to have to jump right out play at the highest level, the most competitive level, in sports is difficult. You have to stay focused and stay ready as much as possible. Fortunately for me I was able to make some shots and help the team," Miller said.

One member of that team is Udonis Haslem. He and Miller have been team mates for a combined six years between their college days at Florida and now their pro days. So nobody has more confidence in letting number 13 let it fly.

"The way he shoots the ball now and the series against San Antonio stretches the floor. It is a huge part for LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to be able to penetrate inside, because those guys are so great at knocking down shots. I've known him longer than anybody. As soon as he lets it fly I know it's going in. I tell those guys he's from South Dakota" Haslem said.

As for his old Mitchell ball coach he said this, "He's won a state title, played in an NCAA title, won both the NBA Rookie of the year and 6th Man of the Year, and now two NBA championships. What else does he have left to win," about his former Kernel.? Not to shabby for a kid from the middle of South Dakota with the nickname "Skinny".

"To come from Mitchell, South Dakota and represent the state. Then to win two championships on the stage that we have been able to be apart of, it's not going to sink in until it's all said and done. We're excited where we're at and now we can focus on the next one," said Miller.

Although he is under contract with the Heat, there have been talks of amnestying Miller. However the 14 year veteran does understand it's a business and is confident he will be back in South Beach next year to help defend the title.
