For more information, visit w.pearson.com.Pearson is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D, and a member of E-Verify.Responsibilities:The Account Executive will cover the secondary education market in the central and northern regions of New York State.Design and implement individual sales strategy and plan for grades 6-12 throughout central and northern New York. Manage adoption guidelines for this territory including: procedures, sampling guidelines, school laws, etc., in order to facilitate implementation of product lines. Conduct follow-up with school districts to ensure future sales. Control territory budget through appropriate use of money allocated for sampling, travel and entertainment.Must have ability to learn and master solution selling techniques including demonstrating and selling digital and technology product components.Qualifications:Professional educational publishing sales experience preferred. Strong background selling within the K-12 market, effective territory management skills and ability to present and connect to audience and positively influence customers required.Classroom teaching experience and/or successful educational sales or consulting experience within the K-12 market required.Previous work experience with digital content and virtual school is a plus.BA or BS degree required.Excellent presentation and computer skills required. Proficiency in MS Office especially Powerpoint and Excel. Effective communication skills (verbal & written). Ability to develop and deliver compelling and persuasive presentations. Demonstrated success managing customer relationships.Significant travel required - including overnights.Valid driver's license required.Must be able to transfer and lift a minimum of 30 lbs of product.
